Mixedmedia painting performed on wood with different mediums and materials, inspired by the futuristic scenery and entitled ‘Space Cadet’ because it has been one of the very first mixedmedia artwork performed by Alberto Ballocca.

The “space cadet” oscillates between the inner blue palette of the Ego and the impulsive red vortex of the Id. He is the protagonist of a profound introspection that leads him to get lost in the space of his thoughts until he transcends reality. He begins a journey that leads him to discover the mystery of the external cosmos and to confront his inner space.

We witness the beginning of a personal reflection that prepares us to face challenges and the journey to success. Man is suspended in space about to begin the journey of discovery of himself and the cosmos; in the same way the artist renews reflection on his work at every opportunity and compares art with the reality it represents.

In fact, art is a continuous journey of discovery and renewal, especially when you want to go beyond realistic representation. This path requires constant exploration of reality. This artistic journey can be compared to space exploration, in which the artist immerses himself in the depths of the human soul and society, transforming these experiences into works of art that reflect the complexity of life. Ultimately, painting reality requires a constant commitment to exploring new perspectives and evolving together with the surrounding world, thus embodying an infinite path of discovery and renewal.
