Subject represented is the face of the ancient colossal statue of pharaoh Ramses surrounded by natural layered elements that evoke the fractile behavior of wind such as plants in the lower side and water in the upper side of the composition communicate accordingly to their natural dynamism.

Within the composition of ‘Sojourners’, the artist inserted several hidden symbolic elements visible only in front of the physical canvas plus different hieroglyphic signs.

Sojourners is a term that identifies the communion, the osmosis, between natural entities and the ancient customs of Egyptians people throughout the course of their evolution on the banks of the river Nile.
