Inspired by the Egyptian goddess of universal order and love. Egyptian deity of universal order ‘Maat’ & a particular concept related to the ancient ritual of ‘Psicostasia’.

“As necessary Natural powers, Art is what lies between 1 and 0 and defines every structure of human experience through feminine spiritual thrusts.”

Maat (“Justice”) was the ancient Egyptian concept of balance, order, harmony, truth, law and rule, morality and justice.

She was also personified as an anthropomorphic goddess, with a feather on her head, responsible for the natural arrangement of the constellations, seasons, human actions as well as those of the deities, as well as the propagator of cosmic order against chaos.

Sent into the world by her father, the sun-god Ra, to ward off chaos forever, Maat also had a primary role in the weighing of souls (or weighing of the heart) which took place in the Duat, the Egyptian underworld: her feather was the measure that determined whether the soul (believed to reside in the heart) of the deceased would reach the afterlife or not.
