En-trance is a work on paper performed with pigments and pencils on parchment paper.
This artwork is inspired by the ancient templar architecture.
In the ancient Greek temple, the entrance is the pronaos. The pronaos, i.e. the entrance portico, was covered. The roof could be supported either by the extension of the side walls of the naos, called antes, with two columns in the middle, or by four or more columns.
In the first case, the temple is called “in antis”, in the second case it is called “prostyle”.
The history of the Greek temple tells of the incessant and progressive commitment with which this civilization improved and perfected one of the oldest architectural typologies, constantly pursuing the supreme ideal of perfection and harmony. In the pre-archaic age, religious rites were most likely celebrated outdoors, within enclosures that delimited a sacred area dedicated to the divinity.
