'Knight of Digitaria'

Small format mixedmedia painting made with different mediums on a canvas streched on a wood panel. The composition of ‘Knight of Digitaria’ presents a typical African mask used during Dogon festivities, abstract layered elements performed with natural pigments mixtures, acrylics and sprays and a spear made with oil pastels in the hand of the subject that represents vigor and strenght.

“Before leaving this world, Ogotemmeli, had one last startling revelation in store for European ethnologists. The chief of the Dogon tribe says: “Digitaria is not the only companion of Sirio. The star N-Pia (Sorgo Femmina), is larger, four times lighter, and travels on a longer trajectory in the same direction. Sorgo Femmina, is the seat of the souls of all living and future beings: they live immersed in the waters of family ponds.”
